Student Guide
Welcome
This guide explains the parts of the EAC Portal that matter to students. It focuses on practical tasks:
how to create your portal account
how to sign in
how to review your academic records
how to review your account details and change your password
what emails and notifications you should expect
What the student portal is for
The student portal helps you:
activate your portal account after your institution creates your profile
view academic records prepared by your institution
review your profile
add work experience entries
review level records linked to your profile
How do I create my portal account?
Your institution must first create your student profile.
After that:
you receive an email telling you that your profile has been created
the email contains an account setup link
you select your university and department
you confirm your date of birth and registration number
you review your username, which is the same as your email address and cannot be changed during setup
you choose your password
the system sends a confirmation email after your account is created
If you do not receive the setup email, contact your institution and confirm that the email address on your student profile is correct.
If the portal cannot find a profile for the email address in the setup link, it shows No student record found. Contact your institution if you see that message.
How do I sign in?
Use the normal portal sign-in page with your username and password.
After sign-in:
you are taken to the student dashboard
the notification bell may show recent account activity
a successful sign-in notification is recorded in the portal
Student dashboard
From the student area, you can access:
dashboard home
academic records
work experiences
level records

Academic records
Your institution controls the creation and editing of academic records.
You can use the portal to:
view the list of records attached to your profile
open an individual academic record to review its details
review registration number, programme, school, department, admission details, class of degree, CGPA, and related information
Academic record pages are view-only for students. You cannot edit registration numbers, programme details, university, department, admission details, CGPA, or other academic information from the student portal.
When a new academic record is added or an existing one is updated, you should receive:
an in-app notification
an email summary of the change
If anything looks incorrect, contact your institution.
Level records
Level records show academic-level information connected to your profile.
You can:
review existing level records
add a new level entry where the portal allows it
Work experience
You can add work experience entries in the student portal.
Each entry can include:
role
start date
end date
description
organization details
Account details
You can review your account details from the account page.
Students cannot update account or profile details such as:
username
first name
last name
email
Only an administrator can update those details. Contact your institution if anything is incorrect.
You can change your own password from the password change page.
Printing records
Student view pages include a print option where printing is useful, including academic records, level records, work experience detail, and account details.
When you print from the browser, the portal hides navigation, buttons, filters, and other screen-only controls so the printed page focuses on the record data.
Notifications
The notification bell shows recent updates such as:
registration successful
login successful
academic record added
academic record updated
You can:
open a notification to view full details
use the View All link to open the notification page
mark all notifications as read from the notifications page
Notifications are marked as read when you open them.
Emails you may receive
Students may receive portal emails for:
student profile created
student account created
academic record added
academic record updated
